! We are a Christian community of believers worshiping together in a positive fellowship. You will experience love and harmony here and a sincere desire to honor Christ's new commandment in John 13:34, "You must love each other, just as I have loved you." Using that precept, we strive for a high degree of harmony and support for our new members and others, in that the Chapel annually dedicates 15% of its income to our Missions and Benevolence charitable gifts program.

We are an interdenominational, ecumenical church where many mainline Christian denominations are represented. We practice open Communion and embrace all who believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of the world as fellow Christians, sharing the ministry of the Gospel and the building of God's kingdom on earth. Prayer is a major stronghold among our membership.

We started out in 1949 and called ourselves The Wimberley Community Church. A few years later, we changed our name to Chapel in the Hills, but our mission to serve God wherever there is a need remained the same. Chapel in the Hills is an independent church guided by our pastor and an elected church board which meets monthly to discuss the spiritual and business matters of the church.
